A zoom burst of the Albert's Shed restaurant neon sign in Castlefield, Manchester. Shot on a single slow exposure, the technique involves zooming the lens from telephoto to wide while the shutter is open, tracing each light source outward from the focal centre and producing the radial streaks that appear to push the sign towards the viewer. The blue neon and the warm amber street lighting in the lower right create a colour contrast that the radial movement amplifies. The ghost outline of the sign at multiple scales is the zoom recording each frame of the movement.
