A stitched vertical panorama of Beetham Tower shot at night from the Castlefield canal basin, converted to monochrome. The tower fills the upper half of the frame, its randomly lit windows scattered across the dark glass facade. Victorian canal infrastructure sits between the tower base and the water, placing old and new Manchester in the same frame. The still canal below produces a near-perfect reflection, mirroring the tower's window lights in the lower half of the image. The monochrome treatment strengthens the contrast between lit and unlit glass, emphasising the tower's grid against the reflected version below.
