The long exposure smooths the radiating water jets into soft arcs, the uplighting beneath the fountain glowing white against the dark water surface. Green bollard lights in the background reflect clearly in the still water to the left, while the underside of the Bridgewater Hall's canopy is visible in the upper right. The exposure balances the bright fountain highlights against the darker surroundings without losing either.
